I am having to ground myself.
From reading.
If I have a vice, it is definitely reading way too much. Sometimes, it takes the place of cleaning, sleeping, cooking, interacting with others, paying bills, and all the other things I SHOULD be doing. Sometimes, that's OK. Sometimes, it's excessive.
In the past two days, I've read two books. I've enjoyed them immensely, but I have ignored the rest of the world. With my upcoming vacation, I need to focus a little more on cleaning, packing and organizing the kids. So, I am vowing not to read any more books until Wednesday-when our vacation begins. *Magazines and Internet sources are excluded from my grounding*
If successful, I may tackle my other vice: Pepsi.
Nah, that's just crazy talk.

Well I'm trying to tackle Pepsi. It's not working too well. I've decided it's my drug and I don't start functioning well until I've had one!! I usually only have one a day, but I gotta kick that habit and hope a few pounds decide to leave as well!
Two days of reading sounds wonderful. I want to do that right now but I have house guests coming, um...TONIGHT! Guess I'd better ground myself from blogging and go get my house ready.
A Marcie with no Pepsi? No! I'm impressed with your grounding of yourself. :)
I hear ya...been there done that with the non-stop reading. I always end up with "inside-sickness" after I do that. I try not to have books in the house (mysteries or novels I mean) or else I will get NOTHING done. Great genes read alike! (I'm so clever!:)HA HA
