Sure Signs of Plagiarism

This week in 7th grade English, the kids were assigned to present their biography reports to the class.

My favorite line of the week was, "And she was, once again, brought to bed with her ninth child."

Plagiarism? Cut and Paste? You be the judge.

I later asked the girl, "What do you think that means?"

She answered, "Well, I'm sure her ninth child, picked her up and brought her to bed. She was probably sick or something."

Ha! Too funny.

I for one heard lots of interesting things this week............

My shirt (it was a tie on her shirt).. Fell in the toilet. She tells me this as she is fliping it around.

One little boy after being in the bathroom for waaay to long... tell's me when he gets out (after I tell him to HURRY up)... "My poop got stuck so I had to get a paper towel and move it".

Then a girl whose parents are divorced says... "My mom is mad at my dad".... "She calls him a fat pig and calls his wife a fat cow, because she doesn't like them".

It was an interesting week. :)

WOW! I think kids just think teachers really are clueless and they don't read their assignments. They think it's just busy work and you'll never find out. HA!

That is hilarious. I don't think Joan of Arc had kids, so I guess it wasn't Abbie! Ha ha ha. :o)

Missy-
Actually, Abbie's was awesome. And I loved her poem.

Maybe it is supposed to mean that one by one, this noble mother and each of her nine children are carried on her bed, hoisted upon the shoulders of the most virile inhabitants of the kingdom to be presented before the King...now that would be a good story! :)Ha!

Maybe her report was about the lady who just finished having octuplets and didn't know she had another one in there...

Cheering From the Sidelines

In January, I was asked to write an article for a blog about St. Johns.  The blog is kind of a cross between missionary work and a celebrati...
