This weekend, Ryan and I traveled to Prescott to watch the High School State Wrestling Tournament. Technically, it was supposed to be a little get-away for my anniverary, but, you take what you can get.
Truthfully, it was amazing. I've gone to a few wrestling tournaments, but nothing like this. I cannot begin to describe how tough and strong and dedicated all of those boys are. I think they must have got it from their moms, because I don't know how those strong women can stand the pressure. Personally, I was in tears a few times. I wish I could spend the time to tell all of the stories, but it is probably not my place to write about other people's children. Yet, to sum it all up, I was proud of each and every one of them. I've been honored to see them grow up over the past years, and I couldn't be more impressed. Each one of them "did their job". Once again, I was humbled to be from this little town. They certainly deserve the title of "CHAMPION".

how did the whole team do? Again thanks for the picture post. I got one on my phone but wasn't as good as yours! I heard ryder did great!
Sounds like it was fun. I got about 4 or 5 texts about it from different people.
Ryder took first. The team won the State Championship by around 26 points.
yep, sj is awesome. and so are those boys. :o)
Marcie, i know what you mean, I am one proud Aunt....you know Matt is MY nephew!!! And I think in his case, some dads deserve the credit too. It is so amazing to me what those boys did, and can do when the put their mind to it! SJ REDSKINS all the way baby!
It is fun to read this. I am really proud of Garrett, although I keep wondering why he and Jared don't play basketball? I am not used to the wrestling world. :)
